As part of a dynamic growth strategy, LEWIS is seeking an exceptional Vice President to help with the development and growth of our digital business on the East Coast. This position is important to the expansion of our US operation and in completing the integration of our social media, advertising and digital marketing teams. To drive revenue growth, the VP, Digital will lead on clients, providing LEWIS' full digital marketing services (social media, SEM, SEO, display advertising, analytics and creative services). Travel to the East Coast offices is required as well as periodic travel to other US offices.. Purpose of the role. The purpose of the role is to focus on building and maintaining client relationships, with responsibility for account profitability, excellent client service, cross-selling services and products and people development. Working across the East Coast offices, currently Boston, New York, and Washington DC, the role includes ensuring the integration of services from multiple offices.. A key component of this role is the ability to win, lead, retain and grow accounts by bringing strategic and creative insights to client pitches, proposals and programs. There will also be opportunities on global accounts, working with our EMEA and APAC teams.. Key responsibilities. Strategic planning. Works with the SVP, Digital, to develop the plan to drive development and growth for digital across the East Coast. This includes setting commercial targets for the financial year. Works with the leadership team and office heads to support the integration of digital with PR to deliver a comprehensive service offering to clients. Works with the SVP to recommend, and then implement, how best to align, integrate, market and sell the digital marketing services.. New business. Supports the new business process: helps set the outreach strategy; acts on leads generated and turns them into tangible opportunities; evaluates the quality and success of lead generation and pitching, taking action where improvement is needed. Seeks and maximizes opportunities for new business from existing clients within the LEWIS network; drives a proactive approach to upselling services/projects and increasing budgets. Leads RFIs, credentials and pitches for clients, collaboratively developing the strategic insight, messaging and creative concepts. Capitalizes on the unique selling points of LEWIS and leverages these against competitor offerings. Champions cascade opportunities between practices/services and within the LEWIS. Client relationship management. Develops and maintains strong relationships with clients, providing added-value strategic digital consultancy and initiatives for retention and organic growth. Ensures the delivery of excellent client service and satisfaction as well as the delivery of consistent standards of excellence across the East Coast offices.. Commercial and operational leadership. Works with the digital leadership team to ensure account profitability and revenue optimization, taking action where necessary to address issues e.g. over-servicing. Together with the SVP Digital, leads on the implementation of resourcing and capacity plans to ensure resources are appropriately matched with the size of the retainer / project. Addresses reasons for client dissatisfaction and/or churn and puts in place steps to improve. Responsible for ensuring that financial and operating procedures are followed and properly executed.. Teamworking and development. Helps build a high caliber, talented and motivated team; instills accountability and empowers team members to succeed. Acts as a respected line manager, working closely with line reports to maximize strengths, improve weaknesses and support career development, ensuring that appraisals are completed.. General. Leads on and ensures that digital team members run training sessions in digital marketing concepts to increase knowledge with a view to support up-selling and cross-selling activity. Works closely with the HR team to reward, retain and develop the digital team. Works closely with the Talent team to recruit high caliber candidates into the team; develops and initiates pipelining activities based on projected organizational requirements. Ensures the team maintains up-to-date knowledge of the industry's activities (competitors and clients).. Highly commercial and with long-term strategic vision, you have experience building and running teams within an advertising or PR agency, region, practice or division. Your business network is strong and you have an impressive track record of winning and developing major accounts as well as of retention and organic growth of existing clients. You are an outstanding leader with the skills and aptitude to structure, develop and motivate a strong team. You are comfortable working with large global brands and in presenting to C-suite executives as well as providing strategic account support to clients.. You have a wide depth of experience in digital marketing, including paid and organic social media, media buying, creative services, SEO, influencer outreach, analytics and research. You have experience with the commercial aspects of running an agency and in managing P&L, staffing and resources. Experience in public relations and content marketing/data-driven storytelling is also a plus. With a strong entrepreneurial spirit, you understand how to best apply this spirit to a growing global organization.. 8+ years digital/integrated comms experience; agency experience a must. Experience in developing and managing B2C and B2B campaigns; tech sector experience helpful. Proven track record of exceeding goals and driving revenue growth; evidence of consistently making good decisions through a combination of analysis, experience and judgment. Experience integrating digital marketing capabilities with public relations, content and broader marketing activities. High level of business acumen, including successful commercial management. Ability to think strategically, anticipate future trends and potential pitfalls; and capitalize on opportunities. Excels at managing and leading ambitious people; a collaborative team builder. Good knowledge of finance, operational/information systems, HR. Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Ability to problem solve, project manage, multi-task.
